Digital Applications and Responsibility (formerly Information Communications and Technology)
This course prepares
students to use technology in an effective and appropriate manner in
school, in a job, or everyday life. Students develop skills related to
word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, and communications
software. Students learn what it means to be a good digital citizen and
how to use technology, including social media, responsibly. Students
expand their knowledge of how to use digital devices and software to
build decision-making and problem-solving skills.
College credit is available in this course: CINS 101 - Introduction to Microcomputers
Computer Illustration & Graphics
This course introduces
students to the computer’s use in visual communication. The focus of the
course is on basic compute terminology and use, mastering fundamental
skills, and developing efficient working styles and layouts. Adobe CS6
software is used. Communication skills will be emphasized through the
study of effective methods used to design products that impart information and ideas.
College credit is available in this course: VISC 115 - Introduction to Computer Graphics
